Omg! This food was some of the best soul food I have had in a long time, nope forever! I am still stuffed but want to eat more today. This was our first time ever here so we wanted to try a black business owed restaurant during our trip. Magnolia had us speechless. The food was amazing! My pork chop! Omg! Moist, juicy, flavorful. Meanwhile the ribs fall off the bone , the service was outstanding. The owner even came out and spoke to us, our waiter was super nice. That’s amazing service and shows you care about what kind of food you serve your guest. The place is beautiful and so southern. I loved it. Chicago - y’all ain’t got nothing on this place. We behind the 8 ball.

I simply cannot speak more highly of Magnolia 23. I absolutely adore the concept of farm to table. Certain food items are offered and vary depending on the day. I’ve tried several different plates and sides and it’s always hot, fresh, and true to southern cooking. Service is excellent. Hard to review places like this because I hate giving away specials spots that I want to ensure I don’t have a long wait time to be seated, but this place certainly deserves it and I’d welcome their growth into a larger building or another location if they were interested. Love, love, love!

I drove 70 miles one way to dine for the first time. I ordered all white fried chicken, green beans, potato salad and cornbread. My beverage was sweet tea. Oh yes, I also got a slice of the butter pecan cake. The meal was absolutely superb!!! I will visit again but no time soon since it's a little far but this was my special treat. I did meet the owner- he was the most hospitable. The atmosphere reminded me of yesteryear in in my grandmother's dining room. The ambiance is great! Truly southern food at its best. My husband was a chef and I do know good food. Oh yes, the sanitation rating was very good for I noticed this where I go.

The atmosphere was very beautiful and upscale. Our waitress was kind and on point. The owner walked around and spoke to everyone and it was a very welcoming environment. The food was good. Hands down the best fried chicken we have ever had!

To sum it all up, Magnolia 23 is the embodiment of Southern Hospitality at its finest. Absolutely LOVE it and will be coming back as long as I'm alive and well, and they're open! Fried chicken is out of this world, as with everything else I've tried there. You can definitely feel and taste the love that goes into what they do. I recommend the collard greens (w/ vinegar on the side), yams, dinner roll (w/ butter), and, of course no southern meal would be complete without a mason jar full of freshly brewed sweet iced tea. We love you, Doris and Don!

I had an enjoyable lunch at Magnolia 23. Fried chicken was seasoned quite nicely, and the sides were excellent. When my companion and I arrived, there were several folks waiting, however, the wait to be seated was minimal, and the food came out very fast. Food was fresh, service was attentive and the atmosphere welcoming. I'd recommend a visit!

The food was outstanding- every single thing. Being from Hudson, NY, it was such a treat! I will be traveling to the area on business and this will be my go to spot whenever I am in town. Don was absolutely wonderful and although they were very busy - he made time to welcome us and treat us like we were guests in his home. The hospitality was perfection and the food exceeded every expectation. Oh, the greens were to die for! See you soon!
